Monica Chun

Chief Client Officer / President of Advisory

As Acceleration’s Chief Client Officer and President of Brand Advisory, Monica is responsible for leading and architecting brand strategy, multi-platform go-to-market initiatives, and integrated marketing solutions for all Acceleration Brand Advisory clients. Additionally, Monica develops agency client relations, creating synergies between Acceleration’s various agencies and their offerings. Monica is an expert in creating demand and helping brands navigate the worlds of entertainment and culture through the ideation and development of omni-channel marketing solutions that integrate influencer marketing, experiential, retail marketing, branded content, social media and strategic communications.

Prior to joining ACC, Monica was a 22-year veteran of PMK*BNC, one of the most influential entertainment marketing and communications firms, where she was agency President and oversaw brand strategy & communications, influencer marketing, insights & analytics, sponsorship and promotions, experiential, and digital.

Throughout her career, Monica has architected hundreds of launch initiatives for some of the most iconic brands in the world across multiple categories including Samsung, Beats by Dre, Cadillac, PlayStation, Nintendo, Converse, Skechers, The Honest Co, Nike Jordan, Target, and Bacardi, just to name a few. Monica also has extensive experience developing breakthrough strategic, multi-platform, consumer marketing and social engagement programs and has spearheaded campaigns around the Super Bowl, NBA All Star, The Sundance Film Festival, E3, CES, Coachella, Comic-Con, SXSW, Lollapalooza, and the Oscars, including Samsung’s post-Oscar selfie integration on the Elle DeGeneres Show a day after the Academy Awards that included Samsung’s $3 million donation to Ellen’s favorite charities in response to matching consumer retweets of the famous Oscar selfie.

In 2017, Monica co-authored ‘the Art of Branded Entertainment,” the first book written by a Cannes Lions jury on how to create compelling entertainment in an on-demand world. She also currently sits on the board of the Brand Film Festival.
